Dear Friends of Team AOW-Envision,

We are very excited to announce that planning for Capital Region Canstruction is now underway for 2025! The theme for this year, “Lights, Canmera, Action”, has given our Team the opportunity to build one of our most creative structures yet. We are also happy to announce McLaren Engineering Group will be lending our Team a hand! Over our 8 years of participating, our Team has donated $100,000 and nearly 80 tons of food due to all of our amazing Sponsors!

This is a call to all of you to Sponsor this Great Event and our Team! All proceeds are directed to the Food Pantries for the Capital Region who now provide food, formula, and needed household goods to over 70 pantries in Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, and Saratoga Counties. While services they provide to our fellow community members continues to expand, their resources are stretched more and more. Join us in helping our neighbors by making a monetary donation to our Team!

Nationally, 1 in 8 individuals are now seeking assistance from food pantries across the United States. Over 90,000 of those individuals reside in the Capital Region. The Food Pantries for the Capital District helps struggling families, the elderly often on fixed incomes, college students, and individuals who may be experiencing a life change such as the loss of employment.

Many of our past sponsors have relayed their own personal stories to us about their own past use of a food pantry or how important food pantries have been to their friends and family in need. For AOW and many of our loyal sponsors, we value giving back to the communities we work in, live in, and serve. Many of our construction projects touch the lives of individuals who need the Food Pantries for the Capital District in order to survive and thrive. There is no place better to give back than our own community; there is no place like home.

Build Day is Monday the 5^th of May and we encourage everyone interested to visit what will be 12 amazing structures between Tuesday May 6^th and Sunday May 18^th at Crossgates Mall.

We know there are a multitude of causes and organizations you may consider supporting, and we hope that you will still consider a donation to our CANstruction Team. Your donation is tax exempt - please have donations in by 30 April, 2025.
